Is there any evidence that shows which strategy (distraction or re-thinking) is more effective in the long run? Or, even though distraction may work in the moment as a temporary solution, is it better to subscribe to the "re-thinking" because it changes one's entire thinking process?
The article was interesting. I was curious about the role of willpower when it comes to sex and those who are celibate or abstinent and those who just go for it! I guess I would like more info about what messages are sent to the brain to make people more cautious and why some people aren't, even in their adult years.
