  1. I would be interested to see the study that this came from. From the article, it seems like the majority of the language used to talk about God was anthropomorphic. If this is the case, then it may simply mean that people tend to cognize God personally when God is presented in personal terms, and not that all thoughts about God are just like thoughts about people. That is to say, we follow the language and personify God in our mental representation.

  2. I'm still confused about how exactly theory of mind plays into this. Is it only to confirm that empathy and belief in God use the same part of the brain?
